*Accurate measurements are critical to a successful outcome. Piston ring sizes should never be assumed as there are many piston ring variations. OEM’s make frequent changes, and aftermarket piston manufacturers often manufacture to different tolerances. All measurements need to be taken with a dial caliper, or suitable fine measuring instrument. Inexpensive dial calipers can be purchased at most auto parts and tool supply stores, or online. There are also many videos online showing how to properly use them.
